I got this to increase the ports on my battery backup and it works like a charm.

A great idea if you have several power adapters (ex. headphones, speakers, etc). These usually tend to block any standard wall outlet or a power strip. Allows you to connect several power adapters to the same outlet.
If you have 1-4 power bricks and only one outlet. This works great, and does something that a power strip can't do.
